Coolest Cheeseburger in Paradise Cake

This Cheeseburger in Paradise Cake was for my brother-in-laws 40th. He is a big Parrot head! Everything is edible except the parrot. The bun of the cheeseburger is made of a white 6″ round cake which I shaped to resemble the bun. It is covered with homemade icing tinted brown and smoothed. Toasted sesames are on top.

The burger is a chocolate 6″ round. The lettuce, tomato and cheese are tinted marshmallow fondant. The middle tier is 2 8″ rounds. The sand is crushed graham cracker and pirouette cookies are positioned to resemble a bamboo fence. The palm trees are pretzel rods with green royal icing leaves. The flip flops are painted fondant. I used the grass tip for the grass.

The bottom tier is a 10″ round. It is covered in light blue fondant. The glass is painted and sprinkled with blue sugar. And of course there was a shaker of salt which was also painted fondant. The cake was a huge hit and it tasted good too!
