The lady who asked me to do this cake wanted a DC Comic cake for her son’s first birthday After speaking with her she let me know his favorite characters were Batman and Superman and she wanted that incorporated in there. I looked at some pictures of what others have done and after a couple sleepless nights I came up with a plan.
I knew what I wanted to do and just how I was going to do it. The conversation bubbles I made like you would see in a comic book and decided to put both the character’s symbols into one and made the buildings, all of these are cookies, yup, that’s right, cookies.
The cake itself was white cake but the bottom is blue and the top red using food coloring. I made the bottom to look like Superman’s cape and the top as the city they protect. I made sure the little guy is known as “The New Hero In Town”
