This Dinosaur Cake is a chocolate cake with raspberry Charmond and whipped cream filling, covered with homemade fondant.

I baked two sheet cakes, made a template from aluminum foil, then cut the shape. I grated the remaining cake, mixed it with buttercream icing and leftover raspberry Charmond and made a pliable batter. I covered the cake with this mixture and made legs. Put it in the fridge for two hours, then covered it with thin mixture of butter and Nutella. Again, put it in the fridge for few hours and then covered with green fondant.

I painted the fondant with gel food coloring mixed with vodka, cut out yellow spots and other decorations. Hair is made with garlic press.

This was my second fondant cake, for my son’s 3rd birthday.
