I made this Dinosaur Cake Idea for my son’s party at a local museum. I just baked a sheet cake and put blue frosting on and used marshmallow fondant to make the leaves, and made the T Rex out of rice krispie treats shaped by hand, then I put marshmallow fondant on the rice krispie treat shape and used fondant for details.
I put a small bit of black food colouring into a dish added a little water and dipped a paper towel into it and lightly brushed random areas and took a clean paper towel to blot it off. I then placed the dino head on the cake to look like it was coming through the leaves. First time using the rice krispie treats with fondant but the kids loved it.
