This Elmo Birthday Cake was my first ever birthday cake for my nephew. I used the Elmo cake pan and the Wilton’s 1/2 sheet cake.
I wanted the cake to say “Happy Birthday Kolby” so I placed the Elmo cake over to the side. This was my first experience with square cakes (1/2 sheet), so getting the edges nice was a huge challenge. All in all, I had a blast, although it took a long time to decorate, it wasn’t that hard at all!

great job. I’m going to have to make a similar cake and I’m wondering: did you support the Elmo cake on the sheet cake? is there a cake board under the Elmo cake?
