When my daughter decided on a taco fiesta party, I wanted a themed cake but still for an all girl oriented party. So It was my first attempt on a cactus cake with a girly touch. I simply baked the cake mix in a small mixing bowl and it baked into sort of a pumpkinish shape.
I bought a terra cotta colored plant pot dish, placed the cake in the center and used neon green food coloring to just simply cover the cake. I made a darker green to make the vertical lines. I used spaghetti pieces for the thorns and brownsugar for the sand. I
topped it off with a flower for the girly touch and the kids loved it!
