This Firefighter Cake was made for my husband’s boss’ father-in-law, who was in an explosion in Ghent. He was one of the surviving volunteer fire fighters.
I made the hat out of 3 9inch and an 8in pan and the bill is fondant and the flames are fondant mixed colors. Red didn’t turn out, I ran out of red coloring, so it turned out to be a mauve hat.
