I made this flower gardencake for my 7 year old who asked for a flower cake. My first idea came from this site where a window box flower cake was submitted. I did thick sugar cookies for the flowers and caterpillar.
I stuck the sticks in the cookies right after I took them out of the oven. The cake itself was two rectangle cakes stacked on top of each other. I crushed Oreos to make the dirt.
I trimmed it in ribbon, and made a computer printed birthday sign that I outlined with a decorating tube. I used a basket weave tube to pipe the sides.
