I had a friend of a friend call me one day and ask me if I could make a Frozen birthday cake for her granddaughter’s birthday. My first question was, “Do you mean an ice cream cake?” She laughed and said, “No, a cake from the movie Frozen.”
After a few minutes of giggling she sent me a picture of one she wanted and I told her I would give it a shot. I asked another friend that makes cakes also how to get the glimmer look of ice and she told me to try Michaels for a spray frosting. I found a pearl one and it was perfect.
I don’t usually use fondant but I made a marshmallow one for the snow on the tops and the balls around the bottom. The lady bought the figurines for me and I placed them on the finished product.
The cake was a huge hit with everyone, especially the birthday girl.
