This Garden Cake even has a picket fence! A friend of mine has a husband who also coincidentally has a birthday, and I suckered her into letting me make the cake.
I used a Wilton cake pan that has a space for filling, which was chocolate frosting and homemade strawberry jam. It was frosted with green tinted butter cream icing, piped in like grass on the top. There were also crushed Oreo’s in place of dirt, and vegetables I made out of fondant. Don’t eat the fondant! It doesn’t taste very good! Don’t worry, I warned my friend that while they are edible, don’t eat it with the cake itself.
She said it was really good, and I had lots of fun. Also, I didn’t have a whole mess of cake to eat!
