This is a Hamburger and Fries Birthday Cake Design which got quite a few looks at
my kids birthday parties (they asked for it twice). It is made from 3 nine” rounds, 2 yellow and 1 chocolate. The chocolate round is the burger patty (of course) and is frosted with chocolate frosting. The bun is frosted
with a pale yellow frosting and glazed with thinned chocolate syrup.
Before I put the bun top on, I squirted red (no taste) for ketchup and bright yellow for mustard. I made lettuce and cheese out of fondant-(homemade). It took some fussing with the colors, but that was fun. When the top bun is on and glazed, I sprinkled with rice krispies.
The fries are yellow cake slice in 2″ by 2″ strips and frosted with light yellow frosting. They need to be frosted or they will dry out. I made a paper sleeve for them to stickout of and squirted a pile of red frosting for ketchup.
Oh my God! Thats amazing! They look real!
