Cool Homemade Hamburger Birthday Cake With Fries

I made this Hamburger Birthday Cake for my son’s 9th birthday. He wanted us to have a b-b-que for the party theme. I found the giant burger basket at a party store and wrapped the burger in tissue paper so it looked like an authentic b-b-que stand burger.

Both buns are made of pound cake. The top bun was baked in a Pyrex bowl. The bottom was baked in an 8 in pan. For the “meat” I made a brownie recipe in a 9 in pan. I mixed ground cookies in with chocolate icing to give the meat a rough texture. Both buns were tinted buttercream topped with pine nuts.

I used cookies coated in red poured fondant for the tomatoes. The mustard and lettuce where both tinted icing. I bought a frozen pound cake and sliced it into fries. I baked the fries in the oven until crispy. The “ketchup” is red icing and raspberry preserves, mixed well.
