Coolest Hawaiian Luau Cake

I made this Hawaiian Luau Cake for a bridal shower for my sister-in-law’s friend. Her theme was a Hawaiian Luau. I covered the cake in marshmallow fondant, made the Tiki hut out of a cupcake topped with colored bamboo (they were actually place mats I’ve found at Big Lots). The Tiki torches were toothpicks with fondant covered in graham cracker crumbs and a dab of orange icing for the flame. You could also use tootsie rolls.

The bottom layer I used pirouettes (mocha flavored, so good!). The waterfall is actually Jelly Belly Blueberry gel icing, it made the cake smell awesome! The flowers do trail from the top down along to the bottom, they themselves were marshmallow fondant as well. I kinda don’t recommend using the marshmallow fondant for those cause they didn’t harden up as well as I liked for them to. I even had them in the fridge overnight.

Otherwise the cake was a success and really fun to make. Thanks for looking!
