Coolest Hello Kitty Cake Idea

I bought a Costco cake with nothing on it (just purple border from the Costco baby carriage cake). I did this because I needed a large cake and it is only $16. Then I used some purple spray food coloring (from Michael’s or JoAnn’s). Then I added purple edible glitter.

Next I rolled out Wilton white fondant and used a template from the internet of Hello Kitty’s head. Very easy to roll out and cut. Then I used pre-made Wilton fondant flowers, jelly beans and black licorice wheels (unrolled) for face. I used a small piece of fondant and brushed it with water to use as “glue” between the candies and the fondant to make it stick. Worked like a charm.

My six-year old loved my homemade Hello Kitty cake idea!! All the party supplies (also Hello Kitty) came from Target.
