I made this Homemade R2D2 Birthday Cake for my son’s 6th birthday.
I made four 6in cakes (2 yellow and 2 chocolate) for the body. The head was made from one half of Wilton’s ball pan. All supported with a wooden stick. Iced all with buttercream.
The arms I made with rice cereal treats, covered in marshmallow fondant. Then stuck to body with sticks. I sprayed head blue and piped the rest.
It was a big hit. My son told me later that I did the head backwards, but he still thought it was awesome!
