I made this ladybug cake for a dear friend of mine who loves ladybugs. I made the body out of a 2 qt. Pyrex bowl. The grass stand is made out of an 8 inch square pan. The icing is homemade butter cream icing. I piped the red on with a star tip and used pipe cleaners for the antennas and craft eyes for the eyes.
The head is made out of a cupcake. The body was made using one cake mix and the grass was made using 3/4 of one. I used the other 1/4 to make a few cupcakes to have one for the head and one for each of my kiddos to decorate.
I will be making a lady bug again as it is perfect for any spring time party!
