This Mario Karts Cake was made for a combo birthday party. My boys love Mariocarts, the oldest is 12 he and I planned this without the 4yr old knowing and what a great surprise the little guy had.
The track is made up of the black part of cookie leaving out the cream. We decided to add choc cereal to the mix to give it different look. We put it in Ziploc bag and my son and I both crushed it together. We made way to much but we wanted to have enough. Just a guess depends on the size of your cake.
We used the square type pretzels for the fence.. My sons idea. Buttercream icing tinted green. The signs and the finish line were done on my computer. I added clear tape all around it to be able to put it on the cake. Added the MarioCarts characters and everyone thought it was great,especially the 4yr old birthday boy. My 12yr old was a great help on this one!
