Coolest Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake

I made this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake for my grandson’s third birthday. It was my first attempt at fondant. I made marshmallow fondant which rolled out easily and tasted good. I molded warm rice crispie treats into the shapes for the Mickey head, body, hand, foot, etc. and covered them in fondant. I attached the ears to the head using toothpicks.

The cake was two 13×9’s, one yellow and one devil’s food with a homemade strawberry filling in between. I added figures I bought in an Orlando Walmart and the number three candle and star candles that I found at the dollar store. I used a pancake ring for the mickey shapes on the side of the cake that I bought at Disney. Those shapes came in handy for hiding some flaws in the fondant!

I can’t wait to try something like this again. It took me forever to make this but I think next time, it will go much faster!
