Coolest Moose a Moose and Zee Birthday Cake

This Moose a Moose and Zee Birthday Cake was for a friend’s son’s first birthday. It’s made with yellow cake, buttercream frostings and marshmallow fondant.

I made the cake in a sheet cake pan, two layers (so 2 sheet cakes stacked on top of each other with frosting in between). I then drew and cut out a big number one on a piece of cardboard, put the number one over the sheet cake and carved the Big one.

I used Wilton food color to tint the frosting the baby blue and I also used Wilton food color for the fondant.

The characters, clouds, plane and birthday sign were freehand cut. They are made out of marshmallow fondant. The balloons are made with white chocolate (molded into the shape of balloons) then covered in fondant.

It took about 3 days to make.
