Coolest Peppa Pig Birthday Cake

I made this Peppa Pig birthday cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. I am a cake virgin and could burn water, so my husband had a trip to Adsa for a shop bought one on standby!

The cake is a sponge, I made it from a recipe in the Good Housekeepers cook book, although it was a 2nd attempt. The first attempt was a disaster because I miscalculated the cooking time for our convection oven. It was so heavy, it could have held up my house!

I used pre-rolled icing to cover it, and coloured icing for Peppa Pig and the balloons. I traced a picture of Peppa Pig and cut out the shapes of her face and dress. The icing letters were done with icing tubes and written in my best handwriting!

My sister Donna was so impressed, she’s commissioned a Sponge-Bob square pants cake for her birthday, and I’m going to have a go at a Christmas Cake to take to my mum’s.

My daughter loved it and there was no need for that trip to Adsa!

  3. Ah I love it, my daughter really loves Peppa Pig. She is 2 on the 27th December so bit of a mad one but I spent months practicing her 1st birthday cake which I made so I’m definitely going to be doing one for her 2nd and will have a go at yours. I think, its great. Well done you! x

I’m tempted to give it a try :-) We made her last birthday at home, it was the Very Hungry Caterpillar. You make this one sound so simple! I wanna make it just like yours.. I hope it turns out just as good!
