I made this Pink and Black Ladybug Birthday Cake Design with a butter cake in the Wilton Ladybug Pan. First I outlined the eyes, cheeks and dots and them went back and used a #16 star tip to pipe in the colors. I made the ladybug pink because red can be a little bitter. Next time, I will do the dots in a pretty girl color like yellow or purple.
I also made a thin yellow cake using a cookie sheet to give the Ladybug some thing to sit on besides the cake board. I used a grass tip to create grass on the board. The next time, I will add some pretty flowers for color.
