Coolest Pink Pirate Ship Cake

I decided to do this pink pirate ship cake for my daughter for her 4th birthday. She loves Peter Pan and Jake and the Neverland pirates so to be unique to her we decided on pink and pirates which is fairly hard to find stuff locally.

The cake I made the mold out of rice krispie treats. I molded it while it was still warm, let it sit. Then I took a butter cream frosting. And added pink color to it. Next thing was to put a single layer over the whole mold.  After that I had bought sugar sheets which I had decided to try instead of fondant. So piece by piece I cut. Planks and glued them, placed them on the butter cream. After it was all completed I used honey as glue in some tough spots.

I created the sails and rial rods from 2 different wooden skewers that I colored black and I cut and hot glued them and then put them in place. I used wax beer can candles that I cut and added them as cannons which we did light for her birthday, she really loved that.

The figures were from her toys and I used whoppers for cannon balls. All in all not bad for my first try, my daughter loved it and didn’t wanna cut it. Also I started this about 4 days before and did a little each day, and surprise surprise, it was soft and delicious ricekrispie treats when it was cut. Thank you.
