Miss 4 is completely MLP obsessed, so naturally she was very specific in asking for a “Pinky Pie” cake with a “noonicorn” (unicorn) as she calls it.
I got the idea off this site. I found a MLP colouring page online, sized it and printed it. Toothpicked the image onto a large chocolate cake and cut around it.
Iced it with pink butter icing. For the hair and tail I used a basket-weave piping bag with darker pink icing. I then marked out the appropriate lines and used a piping bag to mark the lines and outline the cake.
For the eye I just used a cut out from the original print out I used for the shape and added a blue m&m onto it. I then added the flowers and writing.
I presented it on a bit of board covered with some blue tissue paper and wa-la, MLP cake!
