This was my first attempt at making a fondant cake. Next time I do a cake in fondant, I will try something less ambitious. I made 2 pumpkin spice bundt cakes and inverted one on top of the other. I did a crumb coat in buttercream frosting and then laid on the layer of orange fondant.

The stem of the pumpkin cake was an ice cream cone covered in brown fondant. I made leaves and stems to try to cover up some of the imperfections.

Not too bad for my first attempt. I took it to work, and nobody could believe I had made it at home, they thought it was from a bakery!
