Coolest Sesame Street Birthday Cake Design

I used all Duff cake products (you can purchase at Michael’s), Cake mix, fondant, icing, and buttercream, tips, fondant smoother, cake spray paint, and Duff’s cake tattoo’s. Tip: use 1 egg for the white cake mix even though it doesn’t call for any eggs. It will collapse if you don’t. I learned the hard way.

I used a 8″ and a 6″ pan for this Sesame Street Birthday Cake Design. The cakes are very firm yet moist, I suggest leaving the cakes in for 5-10 extra mins. to prevent collapsing. Also the chocolate cake mix actually comes out perfectly and is delicious. Always use corn oil or vegetable oil instead of butter.

The fondant I used for my son’s cake is very managable. You don’t need to worry about cracking or drying. I found that you don’t need to put it in the microwave if you work it in the bag before, the warmth from you hands makes it soft.
