With inspiration from Mary Kay of thepartyworks.com I was inspired to do this solar system birthday cake after my daughter came to me and asked for a solar system cake the week of her party.
I freaked out when I saw some of the cakes because I have never taken a baking or cake decorating class and thought the cakes I viewed were way out of my league. But I think we fooled many of our guest, they thought we ordered it. I simply cut out the planets, laminated them and placed them in order. Added a few stars and a shuttle!

I was one of the lucky ones to be able to enjoy this cake, and not only was it creative and perfect for the birthday girls theme, it was delicious making it all around PERFECT! way to go sis!!!

Yes believe it or not she has not had any cake decorating classes. She not only an awesome mother and a very unique lady she is very original with her gifts and other creative ideas she comes up with on her own. She should post all of her other cakes :) Great job keep it up.
