Coolest Sonic the Hedgehog Cake

Looked all over but couldn’t find a pan for a Sonic the Hedgehog cake. Made the face from a 12 inch round pan (2 boxed cake mixes).

Made the spiked hair from a second cake baked the same way but cut out. Iced with buttercream frosting and traditional star tip.

  1. You did a great job. My grandson wants this for his 7th bd, and I wasn’t sure how to go about it, but now I do. Thanks for the help!!

  2. OH MY GOSH!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT A WONDERFUL JOB YOU DID!! My son, Caleb is turning 9 today. But we’re not having his party ’til the 16th. He is autistic & this is THE ONLY THING he’s into right now. lol
I’ve looked ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE for party supplies, cakes (@ Kroger, etc.)
ABSOLUTELY NO ONE DOES SONIC CAKES!!! I found a place that would make it as a “specialty cake”, but they only wanted OVER $100. YIKES!!!
I still can’t find any “decorations” I can afford, but AT LEAST I CAN NOW “PROVIDE” A CAKE!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
You did a wonderful job. I’m sure your child was ECSTATIC!!! GREAT JOB!!
    Sincerely,
Down to the wire Mom. :)

  3. How many layers did you do ?? appears to be one layer for each.

Also did you use two box mixes per 12″ circle or are you saying one box per circle?

How many servings did you get out of this
