Coolest Spiderman Birthday Cake

My son wanted a Spiderman birthday party and of course wanted a Spiderman birthday cake to go with it. I searched on the internet for various ideas, and ended up doing a “New York” scene with skyscrapers and Central Park.

I started with a cake mix in a 9 inch round pan, then built the buildings with store bought pound cake. I added different food colouring to vanilla frosting and added the details using candies and licorice.

I used traditional Spiderman toy figures, car and helicopter to finish it off. I also added a sparkler to the top of the “Empire State Building” as well as his candle.

Also made coordinating cupcakes in red and blue with spider motifs on for the kids at the party.

My son LOVED it!
