My son loves Spongebob. So for his second birthday I made him a homemade Spongebob birthday cake. I actually looked on this website for ideas and then made it on my own.
I used a full sheet cake for the body. I made 2 separate cakes, one I used to shape the legs and arms. The hat is the other cake. I started by trimming around the top and sides of the cake to make him look like a sponge. Next I frosted the pants then the shirt and then the yellow part.
After that I frosted the leg part of the shorts and the white parts for the shirt. Next I just placed them where I wanted them and smoothed out the frosting. I then frosted the hat and cut a section of the yellow part out to make room for the hat.
After that I just piped the arms and legs. I used a glass to make the eyes a perfect circle (I just pressed them into the frosting and piped around it).
I had a lot of fun creating this homemade Spongebob birthday cake. Hope you do too!!
