This sportsman gravity cake was made for a friend’s husband who loves all sports, but also likes Strongbow cider.
The cake is an 8″ chocolate fudge and represents football (soccer in North America). I printed the templates from the internet and cut them from fondant.
This is the first time that I made a model of a person. I thought it would be better to lie him down and that gave me the idea to put the cider can above his mouth.
The cider is made with clear mints, melted and attached to a clear drinking straw. You can find my full instructions for creating the pouring effect by clicking HERE!
I also made a fondant rugby ball and added golf shoes, a golf ball and club.
Once again everyone was amazed at how the cider can stayed up in the air!
