Coolest Super Mario Brothers Birthday Cake

I made this Homemade Super Mario Brothers Birthday Cake for my boyfriend’s younger cousins, 2 brothers who celebrate their birthday on Christmas. Came up with this design and made green and red cupcakes to go with the cake and incorporate Christmas colors.

The cake and cupcakes are frosted with buttercream but the super Mario pieces are made of fondant. The mushroom cupcakes are topped with mini marshmallows. These were so easy to make and they really dress up the cake I made them for.

I really enjoyed making this cake, brought back memories of when I used to love playing SMB video games.
