Coolest Tinkerbell Cake

Well I was looking online at cool cakes for some ideas for my daughters birthday. She saw a homemade Tinkerbell cake (a snow globe cake) and oh just had to have one. She ran to daddy and told him she wanted a Tinkerbell snow-globe cake. It was real easy to make.

The fondant was the worst part. It took me a few times to get it the right size, but I have to say for my first cake with fondant it came out great. And I did the roses all by hand! The roses were the easy part. All you need to do is cut the fondant into strips and roll them loose and you have a rose.

I didn’t need to use anything but an 8-inch cardboard cake holder to support the top layer and globe. I colored the fondant with food coloring paste. The bottom layer is two 12-inch cakes with buttercream between them and the top layer is two 9-inch cakes with more buttercream between them. I found everything I needed, but the globe, at Wal-Mart in the hobbie department.

I now have friends and family asking me to make them cakes for what they need.
