Little Nevin loves two things really well…..trains and the color green. So we had to go with both of these for our Train Birthday Cake Design.
I always begin with a base of a yellow sheetcake or whatever flavor they like and ice it accordingly. The core of the cake is a vanilla loaf cake carved.
The front portion of the cake is a little round Swiss cake. The very top round portion is a marshmallow! The iron wheels are Oreos of course with M&M hubs (don’t think trains have hubs, but they looked good). Then the icing went on and bringing up the rear, or should I say the top was popcorn for smoke!
