Cool Homemade Transformers Bumblebee Cake

I had trouble trying to find a cake for my son’s 5th birthday-no one in the area seemed to have Transformers at all-even decorations. I am by no means a baker/decorator, but really found this Transformers Bumblebee cake easy to do.

I already had the cake pan from a Nascar themed birthday we did, so I just reused it for the base. I then looked online for fondant recipes and used a really easy Marshmallow recipe. Coloring some yellow and some black I then rolled it out and covered the cake with the yellow, then trimming extra-and using a pizza cutter I cut black strips.

Next time I try to decorate I may do it the night before so I can pay better attention to how it looks, but think it turned out okay.

  1. This is brilliant! You have inspired me to do my son one for his 7th birthday. He asked me for a Transformers cake and I said no because it would be too difficult! Thanks.
