Coolest Wrestling Ring Cake

I made this wrestling ring cake for my grandson’s 7th birthday. He has loved playing with wrestlers since he was about 2 yrs old. I stacked the cake three layers high and took left over cake to build the steps. I used chocolate covered pretzel rods for the poles, Twizzlers pull n peel licorice for the ropes and mini marshmallows colored with black food coloring for the turnbuckles.

I made the cake the night before and stacked it the next day but only had about 2 hours to finish it. If I had more time it would have been a lot cleaner. I have never tried this before and had a great time doing it. My grandson was actually trying to play with the wrestlers and he loved it.

When I showed my coworkers they thought it was a toy wrestling ring. My granddaughter has informed me she wants an Ariel and Tangled cake for her birthday in August so I gotta get practicing.
