Coolest Lizzie McGuire Cake Ideas

I made this Lizzie McGuire cake for my daughter’s 9th birthday. She wanted to have a Lizzie McGuire party but there are no cake decorations or cake pans to assist with making this type of Lizzie McGuire cake.

I got a picture from an online coloring book and placed it under a piece of wax paper. I traced the outline with different colored melted chocolates and filled in accordingly. This method can be used for any character or picture you choose to use. The kids loved it and this was my favorite cake yet.

Lizzie McGuire Cake Photo

I made this Lizzie Mcguire cake for my daughter who was turning 8. I used a 16″ square pan. The icing is buttercream and the Lizzie picture is a Frozen Buttercream transfer. Basically what you do is put the picture you want to copy under a piece of glass, cover the glass with waxed paper and use buttercream icing to copy the picture. You have to do the details first because you turn the whole thing over on top of your iced cake and the part on the waxed paper becomes the part you will see on top of your cake.

After you’ve copied your Lizzie Mcguire picture, you have to freeze your design (glass, waxed paper and all) for about 90 minutes. Then, you flip it over and yeah! Perfect likeness — no freehanding!
