My First Coolest Easter Basket Cake

I have always wanted to make a basket cake for Easter and this is my version of an Easter basket cake! I made a pound cake and it has three layers with butter cream frosting in between. I had so much fun making it! I made it my Easter centerpiece and it tasted as good as it looked!

There is an edible Easter bunny on top. Colored coconut green for grass. I used ‘Wilton Rose’ color icing for the color of the basket. It made a beautiful bright pink! I added plastic Easter eggs with  jelly beans pouring out. I happen to have these pretty little butterflies that I thought would look pretty on the cake so I glued the butterflies to tooth picks to keep them in place but also to look as if they are flying around and I happened to have the same color pipe cleaner as my frosting for the basket handle and added a bow to finish it off on top.

So there you have my first coolest Easter basket cake! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
