I made this shark cake for my son’s 5th birthday. I used a regular boxed mix and made two 9in circles. After placing them on top of one another, I cut out the opening for the sharks mouth. Use these pieces for the fins.
I used white icing for the teeth and just tinted white icing for the remainder of the colors. I used the Wilton colors as it does not make the icing too watery. Chocolate chips for the eyes and black icing for the nose. You will need to put this cake in the refrigerator overnight to set or the mouth may cave in. I used toothpicks to help hold it together.
