A friend asked me to make a Tinkerbell birthday cake for her daughter’s birthday. This was done with a Wilton Wondermold pan and doll pick. For the wings I found a Fairy Wand in the toy department at Wal-Mart, removed the wand and extra ribbons, then glued them onto the dolls back.
All the icing is buttercream, except for the doll’s top, which is tinted fondant. The butterflies were a cheat, since they are the ready-made ones from Wilton, but the little girl (and the mom as well) loved it.
