This Homemade Castle Cake is the second cake I attempted. I used the Wilton enchanted castle set. This cake was the most difficult I have attempted. Word of advice, set up where you intend to serve it, and do not move it until it has been cut into. I had to move the cake once it was set up and many towers fell and it was extremely difficult to put back in perfect order.
I used all buttercream for decorating with several different piping tips. I decorated the tower tops using buttercream covered with sparkly pink sprinkles. I used melted white chocolate to “hold” the towers in place, which would work if you don’t intend on transporting.
Overall it turned out well and my niece was thrilled. Anyone can do this cake, if you have patience.
