My granddaughter wanted a Hannah Montana birthday cake for her 8th birthday. I thought that it would be cute for Hannah Montana to be standing on a stage as if she was in concert singing. I purchased a magazine about Hannah Montana and designed and made this backdrop using photos from it. I then made a 12″x15″ sheet cake and a 10″ round cake. I cut the 10″ round in half and butted it up against the sheet cake, then covered them in decorator frosting. The stage is a 6″ round, with a rice krispie treat step, also covered in decorator frosting, then covered in purple fondant. I positioned the stage near the back of the cake and put Hannah Montana in the center. I then cut out the rest of the decorations, runway, guitar, stars, dots, etc. out of fondant and positioned them on her cake. My granddaughter loved it and all her friends at her party thought it was pretty cool! This cake is one of my favorites!
