I made this cake for my son who is mad on Transformers this year! (Last year it was a dragon!)
It is basically a 10″ square chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling, then covered in black sugar paste, so the transformers logos would stand out more.
I downloaded the logos for Autobots and Decepticons from the internet and then basically used tracing paper to make a cardboard template of each logo, I then cut the templares out with a craft knife, laid each one on the sugarpaste and used the rolling pin to make impressions on the icing.
I then cut the logos out using the craft knife again!
It was very fiddly and took a lot of patience but the overall effect was well worth it!
Especially when my son was boasting to his friends that his mum had made it!!
