I made this Hello Kitty Birthday Cake for a friend’s daughter’s birthday. I had never made this cake before and I got my ideas here on this website since I couldn’t find a cake pan.
I made 4 9″ round cakes. I layered the first two round cakes and then I cut off the sides of the other two cakes to round out her face into an oval. I then cut out her ears from the remaining cake. I also cut out the bow from cake (although it is a little small). I used a star tip around the entire cake. I used jelly beans for the eyes and nose and black licorice for the whiskers. (I did end up changing the pick nose for a yellow one).
This cake was a lot of fun to make and it only took 4 hours.
