Iggle Piggle Birthday Cake

In The Night Garden Cake
I made this cake for my Son's First Birthday, as there are a distinct lack of ‘In The Night Garden’ Cakes available commercially in the UK and my Son adores this TV Programme.
The cake is a Vanilla sponge with butter-cream/jam inside. Dr. Oetker's Designer Icing Tubes are highly recommended and come with three different design/sized nozzles to make the green grass effect and it holds the figures to the cake easily too. Again, any icing pen is ideal for writing on the cake itself, this was the first time I had ever attempted this. The little icing sugar flowers made the final touch to the cake.
The little figures are wonderful (also right size etc) as they are also safe play toys for little ones once the cake has been eaten. The cake did not take too long to ice and can easily be made by amateurs like me!!
