I got this idea for a Castle Birthday Cake from the Wilton Cake Book. I just changed the colors and added my own touch. Part kit you buy at Michaels, the other is all cake. The toppers I covered in icing the blue dust. And to hold everything is place I used melting chocolate.

This is my second cake made for my child’s 4th birthday. This Castle Cake is a sponge cake with vanilla frosting made with butter and Crisco and the small balls are made of fondant. It would be perfect if fully made of fondant.
