Tinkerbell Birthday Cake

I got this tinker bell cake idea from this very website. The cake was used to celebrate my daughters 3rd birthday.

I used a deep dish pan for a taller level cake. After freezing the cakes I used Wilton’s whipped icing mix for all the icing and decorating. Be sure to refrigerate the icing for an at least an hour to get a good firm icing. To get such bright colors of icing, I used the new neon colors that you can find in Wal-Mart ( the drops). After covering the both layers of the cake with blue icing, refrigerate for at least one hour.

I bought the tinker bell and friends figurines at Wal-Mart. I just put a couple of swirls using a small tip and then using a flower tip for the flowers. I wanted to keep it simple. I bought the pre made letters to make a nice birthday message for my Daughter.

I used a 9in pan for the bottom and a 6in pan for the top. I would use a 10in pan for the bottom next time. It would give you more room to decorate.
