Homemade Scorpion Cake

I made this scorpion cake for my son's 5th birthday. He was set on having a scorpion cake and I wasn't sure how to go about it.

I decided to use the "melted chocolate technique" to make the scorpion and the other decorations on the cake. Chocolate is melted, then piped onto a sheet of paper in the right shape.

For light colours, white chocolate is used with food colouring.
