Homemade Skateboard Birthday Cake

This Skateboard Birthday Cake is my son's fourth birthday cake. I have several boys and they all love to skate, so this is what I came up with.

The cake is a homemade Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting,then covered in fondant. The skateboard was made from rice crispies, fondant, donuts, chocolate and vanilla frosting, and three cookie sticks.

This was great fun! The adults loved the peanut butter frosting and the fondant can easily be peeled from the cake.

i'm just wondering the same as a previous comment. How did you mangage to stop the cake from splitting. Would like to make a skateboard cake upright, like yours

Fab cake, but how do you stop the cake from splitting, I mean the part that's not on the board?
