This onesie cake was made for a friend’s baby shower. Actually on this cake I made 2 cakes, one done for a boy, one for a girl. I baked 2 half sheet cakes and cut them out like a onesie.
I made homemade icing:
1 cup shortening
1 stick butter
1 ts van. flavoring
1/4 cup milk
2lb bag powdered sugar
I did the boy onesie white with blue and green strips and wrote Daddy’s Little boy and on each side of that I put a blue and green rattle. I did the girl onesie white with pink and purple strips saying Mommy’s little girl with a pink and purple rattle. She didn’t know what she was having so the pieces of cake I cut off I pieced together with icing and made baby blocks with it putting 123 and ABC’s on it.
