Coolest Homemade Star Wars Cake for my Husband’s 40th Birthday

Everyone at the party loved my homemade Star Wars Cake and were amazed that the millennium falcon was an edible chocolate mold. It was a big hit, and hubby was very happy!

I made a 3 layer German chocolate cake with coconut pecan icing to look like Chewbacca fur. Made Chewbacca sash out of chocolate fondant with accents of edible silver sprayed bullet clips on the sash. Draped over cake.

Made fondant name (had to make look like star wars font for better effect). Also made a solid white chocolate millennium falcon from a mold I found online. Used edible silver spray & decorated with red & black fondant pieces. Also when making mold, I put bamboo skewers in angled on back while drying in fridge.

Then last detail were the mini lights with blue film to cover for effect. Used flat silver tacks to attach to mold. Lastly, made a card stock sign on computer “may the 40th be with you” to tie whole theme together. Used bamboo skewers for sign too.
